Helping Great People Find Their Dream Homes

As a John L. Scott broker, my mission is transactional excellence and client satisfaction. That means I work tirelessly to make your home buying or selling process as efficient, stress-free and lucrative for you as possible.

Meet Steve

After nearly three decades in the hospitality industry, Steven Silbar decided to take his “servant leader” approach to real estate and joined John L. Scott’s Spokane office. Now, he serves clients in the Spokane area, with an approach focused on top-notch client service, creating the best real estate experience and reducing the stress of buying or selling.

Coming from a sales, marketing and technology background in a customer-service oriented field, Steven uses all of his skills and tools to best serve clients. If he’s awake, he’s available to clients – working on their schedule, not his own. It’s Steven’s goal that his clients will be thrilled with their experience and will refer him to their friends and family.

Steven specializes in larger homes, upscale homes, homes on acreage, investment properties and clients who are looking to move up or relocate. He typically helps clients in the Spokane, Spokane Valley, Five Mile Prairie, Fairwood/Wandermere, South Hill and Otis Orchards areas.

When working with sellers, he often uses his Matterport 3D camera to create a visually-engaging listing presentation. Then, he uses the 4K still images and content across numerous mediums to reach prospective buyers who can virtually step into the house from anywhere, at any time, and with any connected device. Additionally, Steven takes advantage of traditional multiple listing services and social media to reach prospective buyers locally and in key feeder markets to Spokane, including Seattle, Portland and San Francisco.

When Steven isn’t working, he often volunteers with Providence Sacred Heart Children's Hospital Spokane and Christian Youth Theater (CYT) Spokane. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mead Education Foundation, supporting efforts to raise money to contribute to further technology in education for local teachers.

Travel (especially international travel) is a major passion for Steven, his wife and children. Some of his favorite travel experiences to date include cruising from Venice throughout Greece and back, Hong Kong and mainland China and running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.

Spokane is capital of the Inland Northwest, home to the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the second largest city in Washington State and a great place to call home. What once was a fur trading and mining post and then a railroad hub has grown into a city with a flourishing arts and cultural scene and an economy built around services more than natural resources. We truly are a modern city with deep ties to our history. In fact, 18 of Spokane’s neighborhoods are on the National Register of Historical Districts. Most of the downtown commercial district’s buildings were destroyed in the Great Fire of 1889. This led to a rebuilding boom in the years that followed. The architecture for many of the new buildings was Romanesque Revival, and much of downtown reflects that style today.

"Steve went above and beyond helping my family find the perfect home and to find us a buyer on our current home. He patiently worked with us for 3-4 months, showing us several houses including going through the process of putting offers on three of them. He got us number three! Not once did I ever feel Steve was getting tired of us, our questions or demands. We always felt we were his number one priority even though he had many other clients. I highly recommend Steve Silbar. He has become a family friend after the sale."

"Steve was great to work with from day one. He was always one step ahead of me when I had questions or concerns about the process of selling and how it affected me. Buying and/or selling a house is just as much about emotions and stress as it is about money. Steve was patient, calm and understanding. He truly wants what is best for his clients, and treats everyone as he would treat his family."

"Steve is amazing! It is very important to us to know and trust who we do business with. Steve took his time to allow this to happen. He checked in with us and gave us routine updates on comparable sales, all without pressure. When we were ready to sell, he walked us through each step, explained the process, and answered all our questions. We recommend Steve for any real estate needs."
